Free guided tours of the newly expanded Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage are being offered by the Evansville-area Trails Coalition. The route is easily walkable and bikeable, and full of scenic views – including the new 220-foot pedestrian/bicycle bridge at Lamasco Park on the West Side. Tour guides will give history talks along the way. Interested people and organizations should contact ETC president Roberta Heiman at robertaheiman43@gmail.com.
Also, a free public walk along portions of the greenway will take place this Saturday, Nov. 5, starting at 9 a.m. at the Kids Kingdom park. It’s being sponsored by Deaconess Hospital and WIKY. Put on your walking shoes, bring some friends and join the fun.
